Message: Hello, I have a queen size bedding set that is 50% cotton and 50% polyester that is ivory and I would like to dye it white. Do you know how I could do this. It can't be done. Removing color from fabric requires bleaching, or discharging, not dyeing. Dyeing involves the addition of color, and thus cannot ever produce white from a darker color such as ivory. Unfortunately, polyester cannot be bleached, and in fact can be permanently damaged and yellowed by exposure to bleach. (Please help support this web site. Thank you.)
