Three problems:

1. It can't be dyed it if it isn't washable.

2. Very few people - perhaps none - are willing to custom-dye polyester. Try contacting dyers who have listed themselves as available for this sort of work on the Custom Dyers Listing.

3. If the fabric is an easily dyeable nylon or cotton or silk, the thread is almost certainly polyester and will stay white.
