burn changed green to purpleName: Jill Wales
Message: I have a coat that I have burnt which is made of polyester and has changed from green to a purple colour. The fabric is not damaged but I need a dye to change the colour as it is made of polyester. If the fabric was burned severely enough to change its color, it is impossible that the fiber was not damaged at all. I would be very hesitant, if it were my dress, to spend time and money on dyeing a badly damaged dress. It is quite possible that it will fall apart. However, if you are sure that you want to dye it, please see Dyeing Polyester with Disperse Dyes. Posted: Sat - March 20, 2004 at 12:34 PM |
