Display ideas

Greetings! My husband and I have a small business selling batiked clothing, and a few toys. We vend at a few local events. We have a 10 by 10 tent that we use for outdoor events and we usually have at least a 6 foot by 4 foot area at indoor events.

I am looking for ways to arrange our goods for sale at craft fairs that is attractive and effective. How do you display your wares? Any ideas or hints would be most appreciated.

Right now we just have a few portable hangers. The clothes just get lost on the hanger.

We have adult clothing through 3x, children's clothing and I'm also working on maternity and nursing wear.

Thanks in advance for your input. I've been reading past posts and I think I could spend all day here.

Judy, Thanks for the great ideas. Your booth is beautiful. Do you ever vend at inside events in smaller spaces? We will be vending in an 8 ft by 4 ft space in november.
Thanks,
Maika

Displaying in a smaller space

Ihave displayed inside in smaller spaces... just don't take my canopy in that case. With the display racks, I mainly try to be sure I will have enough room for customers to get to all sides without bumping into the other rack, each other, etc. I also use the grids if needed as an alternative. They have detachable hanging racks, so that's another way to hang using one or both sides of the grid. They can be on a table top or the floor.

Displaying your garments

Hi, Maika. I too have a 10 by 10 canopy that I use at shows. In addition, I have 2 clothing racks that I assemble on site and hang my clothing. I have two closets full of tie-dye that I bring to the shows, and they just fit on the racks. I also try to hang a couple of pieces from the canopy frame to highlight them and attract customers. I bought the racks from a J.C. Penney store that was remodelling, and got a great deal. I know there are display companies that sell refurbished racks so you might look into those. Another thing to consider is the wire grids that have feet, with racks that hook onto the grids. I have two of those that I have used in the past for children's wear. They are about 4 foot high, so the kids can see them better than the taller racks.
I am attaching pictures of the two types of racks I use below:

Hope this helps!
