Heliographic art/ Sun painting

I am really interested in learning Heliographic art/sun painting. Not only for my own business but I might be hired by a summer camp to run daily tie-dyeing activities for kids of all ages and staff as well - and I think this sounds like a really great activity for kids to do. Does anyone have any advise for me? how can I get started (especially if I am to teach this!)

thanks!

Sunprinting!

I have used the Peboe Transparent acrylic paint (used for sunprinting) extensively for kids projects and it really is a fabulous product. I dilute it WAY more than they manufacturer suggests....10/1 or 15/1 depending upon the project and your budget. Watered down (perhaps 20/1) it can be used as a spray paint. For kids batiking, apply glue to the shirt, and then after it dries, do some crinkle painting with the paint. sunprinting is the most fun but requires more space and a sunny day. Beware of the rain when the paint is still wet! I will attempt to post some pics...right now I am not doing too well...
Ihave a few scarves on my Artfire site that were sunpainted. Check it out at stricrazyhawaii.artfire.com

Here's my input: "How to Dye and Paint Fabric with Light"

When the sun's not bright enough, due to weather or season, you can use a hot incandescent or halogen light as your source of infrared light.
