Racing seat cover that's sun faded.. how do I fix it??

I'm having some issues.

i recently purchased a set of rare racing seats for my show/track car. Seats are great but there are some sun fades on the seats.

I tried to get it recovered, but the cost is about 500 per seats ($1000 per set). Cloth is this special Flame resistant fabric and not sure what I need to fix it.

Its right around the shoulder area and fabric itself is in good condition.

I thought about maybe using fabric paint, but not sure what kind and where to purchase it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, I thought about taking it out and re-dye it. But there is a logo stitched and I don't want to dye that area.

I'll try to take some pics and try to submit on this forum.

You can't dye it if you can't rinse it

You must not apply dye to your seats if you can't rinse them thoroughly, because, if you do, the unrinsed dye will rub off onto you, your clothes, and anyone who rides in your car. This is extremely annoying (and expensive since the clothing may be ruined!), and, for some dyes, may be unsafe, since, over time, it represents a much larger degree of exposure to the dye than is considered typical.

You also can't dye a fiber without knowing what it is. Different types of fiber, from which fabric is woven, have completely different chemical properties, which means that completely different classes of dye are required for the various fiber types. If your logo is embroidered from a different fiber than the rest of the seat cover, it might be left undyed.

The only option for coloring a fabric without removing it from the seat is fabric paint. See Can furniture be dyed successfully? You will want to read Scarlet Zebra's detailed file of information about recoloring furniture with fabric paint; see Instructions for Painting Upholstered Furniture by Deborah P. Harowitz.
